MNF - Eagles vs Bears Second Half Wrap Up

With the Eagles down 17-10, the Eagles needed to come out quick to get themselves back in the game. The Eagles did just that with a 15 play, 80 yard drive, capped off by a 4 yard TD run by Ronnie Brown.

With the game being tied, the Bears looked to regain the lead after the Philly score. However, Philly has a different idea forcing another Matt Forte fumble. The play was originally not ruled a fumble, but a challenge by Eagles coach Andy Reid overturned the call giving the Eagles the ball. The Eagles wouldn't take long to capitalize on the Bears error. LeSean McCoy ran in a 33 yard TD to give the Eagles a 24-17 lead.

Bears would respond with points of their own. K Robbie Gould converted a 38 yard FG to pull the Bears within 4 of the Eagles.

After a 3 and out by the Eagles, the Bears took over where QB Jay Cutler hooked up with his former college teammate at Vanderbilt Earl Bennett for a 5 yard TD pass. This gave the Bears a 27-24 lead with just over 12 mins left to go in 4th quarter.

The Eagles responded with a couple of first downs and were able to drive down to the Bears 42 where it appeared the Eagles were ready to punt. However, the Eagles attempted a fake punt. The fake would fail after P Chas Henry under threw his intended receiver. The Bears remained in the lead, 27-24.

The Bears would add another FG from Robbie Gould which gave the Eagles the ball down 6 with a little less than 4 minutes to go.

The Eagles moved the ball down to the 39 yard line of the Bears where they faced a 4th & 10. QB Michael Vick completed a pass to WR Jeremy Maclin but Maclin slipt as he caught the ball and was tackled short of the 1st down marker.

The Bears would hang on for the win 30-24. The Bears improved to 5-3 with the victory, while the Eagles fell to 3-5. The Bears head home to face the 6-2 Detroit Lions next week while the Eagles stay home to host the struggling Arizona Cardinals.
